1 dead, 1 hurt after fire in Livingston Parish Tuesday, LSFM says

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Louisiana Office of State Fire Marshal is investigating after a fire in Killian left one dead and another person injured.
According to LSFM, around noon on Tuesday, Sept. 24, the Livingston Parish Fire District #2 responded to a report of a fire on Lower Rome Road in Livingston Parish. Upon firefighters' arrival, they discovered an "injured man and, unfortunately, located another man who could not be saved."
The cause of the fire is not known at this time. According to LSFM, more information will be released as it becomes available.
This is an ongoing investigation.
