AUSTIN (KXAN) -- As a cold front lingers over the area we'll see the gradual development of scattered showers and isolated storms as we head into this evening. Shower coverage looks to only bring about 40% of Central Texas rainfall, so more of us stay dry than get wet. Still, localized downpours, gusty winds and small hail are possible within any storms. Your highest chance of rain should be from 7 p.m.- 10 p.m. Some showers and storms possible this evening General storm movement will be from north to south as we head through this evening. Rain coverage drops off late evening and we should be practically rain-free by midnight. We have one more chance for a few showers or storms on Wednesday. Rain chances tomorrow are only at 20% with more of us just seeing a mix of sun and clouds with highs reaching the low 90s. Later in the day a cold front clears out the rain, takes away the humidity and brings cooler temperatures back to Central Texas. Humidity drops quickly later in the day on Wednesday Post-cold front bliss! As the front pushes through late Wednesday the temperatures will drop and the wind will pick up. It may get a little breezy Wednesday night and Thursday as the drier and cooler air settles in. Temperatures may not get out of the 80s on Thursday, but we'll be back into the 90s for Friday and the weekend. Highs the next four days Our overnight lows should drop into the 60s and stay there for quite some time. Enjoy it!
