Motorcyclist injured in twovehicle crash on I97 in Anne Arundel County

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- All southbound lanes on Interstate 97 were closed early Tuesday morning after a motorcycle crash in Anne Arundel County.
In an update, Maryland State Police (MSP) told DC News Now that shortly after 6:30 a.m., troopers were called to I-97 at Brightview Drive for a crash involving a motorcycle.
Details remain limited; however, troopers said their preliminary investigation revealed the crash involved two vehicles and a motorcycle.

MSP said the rider was taken to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore for treatment. His condition is unknown at this time.
There were no other reported injuries.
Early Tuesday morning, all southbound lanes on I-97 were blocked off near Benfield Boulevard, and traffic was diverted onto Exit 10A.

As of 8:11 a.m., all southbound lanes were open.
The crash is under investigation by MSP.
