MERCED COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - An investigation is underway after a person died during a collision in Merced County, the California Highway Patrol announced. CHP reported around 8 a.m. they were on scene of a solo vehicle traffic collision on Santa Fe Drive north of Linwood Drive. Officers have confirmed a person has died as a result. Their identity has not been disclosed. Authorities have not yet released the circumstances leading up to the collision.
