(KRON) -- A high school golf coach in Pinole has been arrested and charged for allegedly possessing child pornography, according to the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office. Jeffrey Tadashi Oda has been charged with a two-county felony complaint. Oda was a golf coach at Pinole Valley High School for several years, according to the DA. He was also a youth golf course at the Richmond Golf Course. Last month, on Aug. 27, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigators served a warrant at his house in Pinole. According to the DA, images and videos of child pornography were located by forensic examiners on Oda's Apple iPhone. On Sept. 5, the Contra Costa County DA filed a court complaint charging the suspect with possession of child or youth pornography and a related charge of possession of over 600 images of child or youth pornography. Oda, the DA said, made a voluntary court appearance on Sept. 19 and entered a plea of not guilty while posting $100,000 bail. His next court appearance is set for Oct. 23 at 1:30 p.m. The DA is asking anyone with information that could assist in the investigation to contact the ICAC Senior Inspector.
