KINGMAN, Kan. (KSNW) — Three people are in custody after an hours-long standoff in Kingman. It started Monday around 2 p.m. when police received the report of a man who had been stabbed in the 300 block of E. D Ave. Officers responded to that incident, but the alleged suspect fled and barricaded himself in a house in the 400 block of E. B Ave. The Kansas Highway Patrol was called in around 7 p.m., along with its SWAT team. "The person that we're looking for, we have at a residence. We have multiple agencies involved, and we're hopefully going to bring this to a peaceful conclusion," Kingman Police Chief Paul Lux said. Two shot in front of Wichita elementary school after domestic dispute Officers were able to negotiate with the suspect, and the standoff ended around 1 a.m. on Tuesday when the man surrendered. Two additional people were arrested for allegedly obstructing the suspect's apprehension. The stabbing victim was treated for his injuries.
