TOPEKA (KSNT) - Let's Help, Inc. will be opening up its new facility to the Topeka community this week for an open house event. The Topeka community is invited to visit the new Let's Help facility from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26 at 245 Southwest MacVicar Avenue. This open house event will showcase the new facility and help members of the community learn more about the services offered by Let's Help. Blind Tiger hosting Oktoberfest pop-up, what to know Participants can expect food, drinks and a ribbon-cutting ceremony from the Greater Topeka Partnership. Let's Help will also be accepting donations for its food pantry, hygiene room and clothing bank. Items being accepted include the following: Canned fruits and vegetables. Ramen noodles. Cereal. Soups. Beans. Macaroni & cheese. Mashed potatoes. T-shirts. Pants. Underwear. Jackets. Socks. Shoes. Children's underwear. Bras. Body Wash Bar soap. Toothpaste. Period products. Shampoo. Let's Help began breaking ground on the new facility in June 2024. Its former location was taken down to make room for the ongoing Polk-Quincy Viaduct Project. For more local news, click here.
