NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Very quiet weather is still dominating the region as despite the chilly start, it will once again be a warmer afternoon. It's rain-free with very clear skies, calm winds, and relatively dry air, allowing for a few areas in the higher elevations to start of below freezing, while everywhere else is slightly warmer to start than yesterday, but still mostly ranging from the 30s to the low 60s. Any showers that do form will be very spotty in the Southern Mountains with just enough-lingering moisture to produce a little bit of rain there, but elsewhere will remain mostly sunny and dry. With last week's storm system still meandering to the east, clear skies with higher pressure aloft will develop to the northwest, allowing for only very spotty rainfall across New Mexico ahead with generally higher temperatures and even drier air.
