Park City School District is inviting the community to a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the first phase of the Park City High School construction plan marking the completion of the new Career and Technical Education (CTE) wing on Friday from 3-4 p.m. at Park City High School, 1750 Kearns Blvd. In a press release, the district said the ribbon-cutting ceremony is a significant milestone and represents a “vital achievement of the 2021 School Bond passed by the Park City community.” The release said the bond enabled the construction and renovation of critical spaces across the district, which in turn supported the vision to provide exceptional learning environments for students. The new CTE wing is part of several transformative projects to enhance educational opportunities for future Park City students, the district said. The ceremony will include a tour of the new wing’s spaces, presentations by CTE students and an opportunity to learn more about how this project “transforms learning through practical, real-world applications.” Lyndsay Huntsman, director of Career and Technical Education, highlighted the importance of this new facility for students:“The opening of the new CTE spaces unlocks endless opportunities for our students,” said Huntsman. “Designed in collaboration with industry partners and future careers in mind, these spaces provide personalized learning experiences that can directly shape students’ career trajectories. As students step inside, we want them to feel as though they’re entering their future — where creativity, innovation, and forward-thinking are at the heart of learning. By preparing them for the ever-evolving world of work, we’re empowering the next generation of leaders and innovators who will shape the future.”The Park City School District also extended its gratitude to the Park City Education Foundation for their “generous support in funding essential equipment for these new spaces.” The post Ribbon cutting will celebrate new Career and Technical Education wing Friday appeared first on Park Record.
