PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) -- In recognition of National Recovery Month, Petersburg Community Corrections will host a free event for anyone on their recovery journey and folks looking for resources to help a loved one struggling with substance use disorder. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 25 inside Petersburg Public Library, located at 201 West Washington Street, according to organizers. Attendees can expect to learn about recovery resources from more than 15 vendors and agencies, hear recovery testimonials, participate in art activities, grab some free food, get Narcan and more.
