FALL RIVER, Mass. (WPRI) — A Fall River man will spend at least three decades behind bars for a murder he committed at 19 years old, Bristol County District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III announced Tuesday.
Following a two-week trial, Keishon Workman, 25, was convicted Monday of first-degree murder and carrying an illegal firearm in the shooting death of 24-year-old Maurice Timberlake.
On Feb. 14, 2018, Workman stalked and attacked Timberlake at the corner of South Main and Morgan streets, shooting him seven times at close range, according to Quinn. Timberlake was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
"This was a premeditated and brutal killing in broad daylight on a city street," Quinn said in a press release. "This senseless murder has upended the lives of the victim's family who loved him very much."
