INDIANAPOLIS — An Indianapolis woman who profited off of selling images depicting the sexual abuse of children will serve more than 16 years in prison after pleading guilty to her crime. Anjelica Clark, 35, pleaded guilty in federal court to advertising and possession of child pornography. She was sentenced to 200 months in federal prison followed by five years of supervised release. This occurred between May 2022 and February 2023. Investigators said Clark uploaded more than 800 advertisements that pushed the sale of child sexual abuse material in exchange for payments through Venmo or CashApp. Clark even told buyers that she possessed child sexual abuse material that contained children as young as 7 months old. Police ended up uncovering a large collection of this illicit material on Clark's cellphone during her arrest. Investigators noted that some of these files contained adult men having sex with children. “A civilized society is judged in large part by how we care for our children. This defendant demonstrated her utter disregard for children’s dignity or safety, instead working to profit from spreading depictions of their vile abuse,” said Zachary A. Myers, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Indiana. In addition to her sentence, Clark will be required to register as a sex offender and pay $13,000 in restitution. Booking photos are not provided for federal arrests.
