Lucky North Carolinian wins $1 million Powerball prize

CALDWELL COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A person in Caldwell County is celebrating after winning $1 million from Saturday night's Powerball drawing, according to the NC Education Lottery.
The lucky winner bought their $2 ticket from the Jack B Quick on Connelly Springs Road in Granite Falls. The ticket matched the numbers on all five white balls to win $1 million. The odds of doing that are 1 in 11.6 million. They have 180 days to claim their prize.
Monday's Powerball drawing offers a $208 million jackpot. The odds of winning the top prize are 1 in 292 million.
