MOORESVILLE, N.C. – Traffic Unit Officers in the Mooresville Police Department is investigating two vehicle collisions that occurred over the weekend that resulted in four individuals being hospitalized, according to a news release. The release states that the first collision occurred on September 22 on Cabarrus Avenue. Upon arriving on the scene, officers say a driver of a passenger car crossed the center lane, colliding with a small SUV. The driver and passenger of the SUV were transported to the hospital for minor injuries and the driver of the passenger car was transported with serious injuries, as said by police. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt. Mooresville Police say driver impairment is suspected. Another collision occurred on September 22 at Exit 36 on I-77. An investigation states that an SUV made a left turn to enter I-77 and struck a motorcycle that was traveling on Highway 150. The motorcyclist was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. Both of the collisions are being investigated.
