Buffalo school bus safety program to be enforced starting next week

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- A school bus safety program designed to keep kids safe getting on and off the school bus will start being enforced and drivers will start receiving tickets starting next Tuesday,
Beginning Oct. 1, anyone who illegally passes a Buffalo school bus when it is stopped will be issued a ticket. Violators could face up to $250 in fines.
Cameras were attached to stop arms in July and a 90-day grace period has been in place since.
