The Boise School District held a special meeting on Monday to raise public awareness about the district’s safety and security procedures in response to the recent surge of unsubstantiated social media threats affecting school districts across the Treasure Valley and the nation. The meeting featured a presentation by district administration alongside the Boise Police Department. The presentation highlighted the extensive safety measures the Boise School District has implemented to ensure that our students and campuses remain secure learning environments. Attendees gained insights into the collaborative efforts of the district and law enforcement in addressing and investigating reported threats of school violence. The Boise School District superintendent, Lisa Roberts, said ensuring the safety of students and staff is their highest priority and that by working closely with the Boise Police Department, they aim to create a transparent environment where our community understands the proactive measures in place to protect students and staff.
