BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- Temperatures will peak Tuesday with a high of 103 degrees. From Wednesday through Friday, a cooling trend will be in effect, but summer-like temperatures will still hover above normal for the remainder of the week and into the weekend. Humid conditions will plummet to single digits during the afternoons, while the rest of the area will see values dip into the low 20s. Overnight recoveries will not be as good in the desert and higher elevations, but moderate in the valley. Air quality is also on the decline, with an AQI of 143 tomorrow posing health risks for sensitive groups.
