A conversation with Tao Grandmaster, Dr. & Master Zhi Gang Sha, and immersion into one of his most popular programs, answers this question plus more. Photo credit: Dr. & Master Sha, Tao Grandmaster, Medical Doctor, Teacher, and Author   Have you ever wondered if ancient practices could provide modern solutions to mental health challenges? As someone who has battled depression for years, I was skeptical that such claims could be true. But my journey with oneness, specifically Dr. & Master Zhi Gang Sha’s Tao Calligraphy & Tao Song Touch the Button program, changed my perspective. Dr. & Master Sha is a Tao grandmaster, world-renowned healer, Founder of Tao Calligraphy, and 11x bestselling author. He has dedicated his life to helping others heal themselves physically and emotionally through the power of Tao—an ancient Chinese philosophy that has been used for centuries to promote a harmonious and fulfilling life. The practice of Tao is very different from modern techniques used to overcome mental health challenges, like therapy or medication. In my experience, the latter two only provided me with temporary solutions, leading me to look for something more. While searching online for an alternative, I came across Dr. & Master Sha’s teachings, specifically his Touch the Button program which is an immersive on demand sessions with Tao Calligraphy and Tao Song designed to heal depression. With skepticism still brewing inside me, I registered for the free program, took my laptop into a quiet area, and started with Dr. & Master Sha’s first video. Almost immediately, I felt a powerful connection to his teachings. “Qi, Ya, You, Qi,” he chanted in meditation, the weight of each syllable resonating deeply within me. As a Tao Grandmaster, it is a mantra that Dr. & Master Sha wrote himself, sharing that the meaning of “Qi, Ya, You, Qi” is something that cannot be directly translated, but “the frequency and vibration of the words together can help you transform and prevent depression.” He explains that the art of Tao Calligraphy combined with chanting creates a higher consciousness/dimensional frequency and vibrational field for healing. As someone with a deeply spiritual background, I always believed in the power of sound as a force for positive change. With this in mind, I had the opportunity to speak with Dr. & Master Sha after completing his Touch the Buttonprogram earlier this week, and what I learned from him was transformative. During our conversation, he shared insights into how Tao, with its focus on harmony, balance, and connection with the natural flow of life, can help with not just depression but many other aspects of mental health and well-being. Photo credit: Dr. & Master Sha, Tao Grandmaster, Medical Doctor, Teacher, and Author Dr. & Master Sha shares that tracing the words and chanting, “Qi, Ya, You, Qi,” is a simple yet deeply relaxing practice that allows you to connect with the life force energy, or Qi, that flows through all things. By focusing on his chants, I began to feel a sense of calm and centeredness that I hadn’t felt in quite some time. “Depression is mainly a negative message in our heart in the heart area,” he explains, adding that by focusing on the blockage, you can overcome it. During our meditation, I focused all of my energy on my heart and allowed myself to open up and receive his powerful, Tao hand blessings. Before parting ways, I asked Dr. & Master Sha if he had any advice for an individual who, like myself, was skeptical about the power of Tao in helping overcome depression. “If you want to know if a pear is sweet, taste it. If you want to know if Tao Calligraphy is a powerful vehicle for healing and transformation, experience it,” he says. “I do not try to suspend anyone’s disbelief. I simply try to give them a personal experience and share my own.” Dr. & Master Sha says his purpose is to “share heart-touching stories of real people, to bless every viewer, and to inspire humanity to connect more with the power of Tao soul wisdom and Tao soul healing and transformation.” Prior to experiencing Dr. & Master Sha’s Touch the Button program, I wondered if the ancient practice of Tao could truly help relieve the depression and unhappy emotions that I experience on almost a daily basis. What I learned is that ancient practices have withstood the test of time for a reason.
