TOPEKA (KSNT) - The Topeka Fire Department responded to a house fire late Monday evening in east Topeka. At 9:15 p.m., crews with the TFD responded to a home in the 200 block of Southeast Lakin Street. Firefighters found fire coming from a single-story home. According to the fire department, crews were able to contain the fire to the home it started in. The occupants of the home were able to evacuate before arrival. No injuries were reported, according to the TFD. Waffles recalled in multiple states due to plastic contamination The cause of the fire is still undetermined, according to the TFD.
