RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Gunfire was reported on Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) campus in Richmond late Monday night. As of 11:20 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 23, officers with VCU Police was investigating a report of gunfire on Broad Street in Richmond. The address given by VCU Police in its Saturday night alert was "325 N. Broad Street." As of the time of reporting, it's not clear if the scene is meant to be at 325 East Broad St. or 325 West Broad St., instead. Richmond family asks for donors as son battles sickle cell disease VCU Police asked that the public avoid the area as the investigation is carried out.
