MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A water main break in a Parkway Village neighborhood caused a sinkhole to form early Tuesday morning in front of a home on the side of the street. When WREG crews arrived at the scene on Wooddale Avenue and Perkins Road, water could be seen sprouting out of the ground into a yard on to a parked car. According to Memphis, Light, Gas, and Water, 30 to 35 customers are impacted. MLGW customers suffer through power failures At this time it is unclear what caused the damage. But MLGW says the water is currently off and repairs could take 8 to 9 hours to complete. This is a developing story. We will provide updates as more information becomes available.
