MT. RAINIER, Md. (DC News Now) -- Police in Mount Rainier are investigating a deadly triple shooting that happened on Monday night. The shooting happened at about 7:25 p.m. outside of Chuck's Liquor in the 3400 block of Rhode Island Ave., the City of Mount Rainier Police Department Chief of Police confirmed. The three victims were sitting in a Burgundy SUV parked out front. Student brought gun to Prince George’s County middle school, police say Two men and one woman were shot. One of the men was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other two victims were taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police said the suspect fled on foot along Rhode Island Avenue toward 38th Street, armed with a black handgun. The suspect seemed to be talking with the three right before the shooting. Police believe this was a targeted incident.
