The victim was pulling into his driveway when he was shot in the neck with an assault rifle. Anderson Choy, 53, was arriving at his home on the 1800 block of Benedict Drive at about 6:30 p.m. on May 5 when he was approached by two people, police said. They were arrested on Thursday by SLPD. A third suspect was also arrested for being an accessory, but he was released the same day. Police did not identify the suspect or expand on his role in the murder. “This case is a testament to the tenacity and persistence of our detectives in seeking justice for the homicide victim,” said SLPD Lieutenant Abe Teng. “A lot of time was spent painstakingly gleaning evidence and conducting surveillance to build a case strong enough to go beyond just making arrests.” The Moreno brothers were both charged with murder by the Alameda County District Attorney's Office on Monday.
