A traffic stop was conducted on this vehicle, and during the stop, K9 Rip was deployed, and a positive alert was indicated.
During a search of the vehicle, around 21 grams of individually packaged black tar heroin was located concealed in a center console compartment.
The release says this is a form of heroin that deputies typically encounter, as it is the result of more crude processing methods that leave behind impurities in the end product.
The operator and the vehicle's passenger were arrested and transported to the Fond du Lac County Jail. Once turned over to jail staff, additional drugs were discovered and concealed on both individuals.
As a result, the operator, identified as a 47-year-old Milwaukee man, was charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin, resulting from the traffic stop, and possession of cocaine due to the two grams discovered in jail.
Authorities say this person has a previous criminal history, which includes the possession, manufacturing, and delivery of heroin and cocaine. He is still in custody in the Fond du Lac County Jail on a $10,000 cash bond.
