ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – A 26-year-old man accused of fatally stabbing another man back in August in Rochester, was arrested Monday in Vermont. Aug. 31, 52-year-old Kevin Henry was stabbed inside his home on Bartlett Street. Officers said they found him when he ran outside. Henry was rushed to the hospital where he later died. According to RPD, investigators later identified the suspect as James Fredrick, a Rochester resident. Police said Fredrick and Henry were known to each other and the stabbing is believed to have been the result of an argument between the two. Police said shortly after the stabbing, Fredrick fled to Vermont. The Stowe Police Department officially arrested him during a traffic stop Monday. Fredrick was charged with second-degree murder. He remains in custody in Vermont. RPD said efforts are underway for Fredrick to be brought back to Rochester for his arraignment, which is expected to take several weeks.
