CALEXICO, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) -- U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized more than a hundred pounds of blue fentanyl pills concealed in a vehicle last Monday. According to a release by CBP, officers stopped a 27-year-old woman driving a white sedan through the port's vehicle SENTRI lane last Monday around 1:20 p.m. Five University of California campuses to get more military equipment A secondary examination revealed irregularities in the vehicle and a CBP K9 team alerted officers to the presence of narcotics, the release said. Officers found a total of 82 packages hidden throughout the vehicle, including in the doors, quarter panels, spare tire and firewall, CBP stated. The packages were all tested and the contents were identified as 120 pounds of fentanyl. The drugs and vehicle were seized by CBP and the driver was handed over to Homeland Security Investigations, the release said.
