NORTH ATTLEBOROUGH, Mass. (WLNE) —  A herd of bulls escaped a rodeo on Sunday afternoon at the Emerald Square Mall and the search is not over just yet. There is still one bull on the loose and police and rodeo workers have been spending the day searching Monday. “I turn around and I didn’t know what was going on and I see cattle running through my driveway,” said Attleboro resident, Gary Brodeur. For residents like Gary, a normal Sunday afternoon in his yard turned into panic and shock really quickly. “It’s scary,” Brodeur said. “You don’t realize, these big powerful animals are right next to you, like 50 feet away,  marching in unison. The hooves were smacking and you could hear them.” The bulls made their way around, ending up nearby on Prescott Avenue in Attleboro. “How did they escape; how did they end up here? Why are they here?” said Attleboro resident, Gee Sounthonevat. Emergency crews corralled seven of the eight bulls around 4:30 p.m. Sunday. Police, firefighters, even cowboys teamed up to get them back into their trailer and off of a resident’s property on Prescott Avenue. “They came here and just did what they had to do,” said Attleboro resident, Chris Mooney. “They got all the fence in, no damage that I can see. They backed up, put the vehicles here, went out back, everything was calm, it was perfect.” The one-day rodeo is under investigation, according to town officials. No injuries were reported since the bulls got loose. If you do see the one loose bull, you are asked to call 911 immediately. Officials said to keep a good distance away and to not approach the animal. Categories: News
