New Orleans police search for teen accused of escaping Juvenile Justice Intervention Center

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Officers with the New Orleans Police Department are searching for a 17-year-old who is accused of escaping from the Juvenile Justice Intervention Center on Monday, Sept. 23.
Crews respond to building collapse in Central City
The NOPD reported that the department issued a "Be On The Look Out" for its districts after being notified that Carlos Taylor had allegedly escaped around 2:15 p.m.

According to the NOPD, Taylor was arrested on charges of aggravated assault with a firearm, illegal possession of a handgun by a juvenile, illegal use of a weapon and aggravated criminal damage to property on Sept. 20.
NOPD investigates three Friday, Saturday shootings
Police say Taylor is also the alleged suspect in a carjacking that took place on Monday, Sept. 23, in the 1100 block of Florida Avenue.
NOPD officials said additional charges are pending.
