(Jeff Motz/KFOR News)LINCOLN–(KFOR Sept. 23)–A 16-year-old has been referred at the Youth Detention Center for criminal mischief and theft by unlawful taking, among other offenses, after he stole a vehicle near 51st and Calvert early Monday morning and hit two vehicles in the process. Lincoln Police say the 25-year-old woman told officers someone was trying to steal her car and was ramming other vehicles. Officers arrived and tried to conduct a traffic stop, but the vehicle fled and was pursued until it got to a parking lot near 48th and Van Dorn and the teen fled on foot. Following the short pursuit, the teen was taken into custody. The two vehicles damaged were a 2015 Chevy Silverado and a 2006 Suburu Forester.
