Three Jersey City men have been charged with sexually assaulting and robbing two women in a Bergen Avenue apartment.According to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez, on September 11, two women informed her office’s Special Victims Unit that they had been robbed and sexually assaulted. During the investigation, authorities learned that the women had arranged to meet three men at an apartment, where they were threatened with a gun, held against their will, sexually assaulted and robbed of money.  Mohamed Mohamed, 24, Abdalla Abdelsalam Elsayed, 20, and Mahmoud Hegazi, 18, all of Jersey City, are now charged with multiple counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault, Robbery, Kidnapping, Criminal Restraint, Terroristic Threats, Theft by Extortion and Computer Criminal Activity. They are also charged with Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, and Conspiracy to Commit Robbery.The men were arrested at their homes on September 20 and are being held at the Hudson County Correctional Facility. The state has filed a motion to detain all three defendants, which is tentatively scheduled for September 25. The HCPO advises anyone wishing to report a sex crime, to call the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit (SVU) at 201-915-1234.
