SPENCER, Wis. (WFRV) - Authorities in Marathon County are investigating a second fatal crash that occurred on Monday, Sept. 23, shortly before 8:00 a.m. on State Highway 13 in Spencer. According to the Marathon County Sheriff's Office, the two-vehicle crash occurred near the intersection of State Highway 13 and Merkel Road, resulting in one person dying. Wisconsin woman dies at the hospital following an electric bicycle crash The identity of the person deceased is still being investigated. There were no other injuries in the two-vehicle crash. The Marathon County Crash Reconstruction Team is investigating the incident. State Highway 13 remains closed between 26th Rd. and County Highway F. Traffic is being detoured to alternate routes.
