NEW HAVEN, Ind. (WANE) — Just ahead of a meeting Monday night discussing a casino proposed in New Haven, WANE 15 learned its location. Set for a 65.5-acre lot on the corner of South Doyle and Harper roads, the $500 million casino is being put forward by Full House Resorts. "We're seeing what kind of support we have from the local governing bodies and we'll go from there," said Alex Stolyar, Chief Development Officer with Full House Resorts. Full House owns the Rising Star casino in Ohio County, Indiana, in the city of Rising Sun, and the plan is to move the casino to Allen County. The two-phase project aims to bring a "first-class" venue to northeast Indiana - a corner of the state that currently has no casinos. "Phase one, we would get the casino, the restaurants, nice speakeasy lounge, really just a high-quality sportsbook, high-quality first-class destination," Stolyar said. "Then phase two, we would add a hotel and a live event center, and probably some additional [food and beverage] options." Full House Resorts is holding a meeting at 5:30 covering the casino at the New Haven Community Center - the city told WANE 15 that they're excited about the meeting and hope residents attend.
