ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) - A man died and a woman was in critical condition Monday after the four-wheeler they were riding crashed with a semitrailer in northeast Allen County. The crash happened just before 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of SR 101 and Hurshtown Road in Springfield Township. The initial investigation revealed the four-wheeler drove from a yard onto SR 101 and hit the side of the semi, according to Sgt. Adam Griffith with the Allen County Sheriff's Department. The man driving the four-wheeler died, and the passenger was take to a hospital in critical condition. Officers with the sheriff's department were blocking off a portion of the road near the intersection throughout the afternoon. Griffith said SR 101 would be closed for a few hours.
