(FALCON, Colo.) — Mountain View Electric Association reported a power outage on Monday afternoon, Sept. 23, that affected multiple customers throughout the Falcon area. Mountain View Electric announced via Facebook and X (formerly known as Twitter) around 2 p.m. that there was a power outage affecting almost 1,500 people in Falcon and several traffic lights were out. According to the electric company's power outage map around 3 p.m., the outage affected 1,462 customers along Woodmen and Marksheffel Road. "We are aware of the outage affecting members in the Falcon area," wrote Mountain View Electric via X. "Crews have been dispatched. We will update this post as we know more. Please be aware due to this outage several traffic lights are also out and should be treated as a 4-way stop. Your safety is our top priority!" At approximately 3:10 p.m., the electric company said the issue had been identified as an underground line that was damaged during construction. Mountain View Electric said crews were working "swiftly and safely" to restore power. At 3:20 p.m., power was fully restored to the area.
