ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) — "Buffalo Joe" will be in uniform for the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football. How to watch the Bills vs. Jaguars on Monday Night Football Joe Andreessen, the Lancaster Legend who played for University at Buffalo and signed with the Bills after a rookie minicamp tryout in the spring, has been activated for the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday night. After earning a spot on the initial 53-man roster with his standout performance in the preseason, Andreeseen was inactive for the first two regular season games of his rookie season. Now with starting linebacker Terrel Bernard injuring his pectoral muscle in last week's win against the Dolphins, the Bills have a gameday roster spot for the Western New Yorker. What has surprised ‘Buffalo Joe’ Andreessen about joining the Bills? Andreessen will be the first WNY native to play in a regular season game for the Bills since 2016, when cornerback Corey Graham from Turner Carroll High School played the last of his three seasons for his hometown team. The eighth UB alum to play in an NFL game this season, Andreessen is the third UB Bull on Buffalo's defense, following defensive backs Cam Lewis and Ja'Marcus Ingram. Two defensive ends, Dawuane Smoot and rookie Javon Solomon, will make their season debuts for the Bills after being inactive with injuries for the first two games. Inactive for the Bills in Week 3 are: cornerback Taron Johnson (forearm), safety Mike Edwards, linebacker Edefuan Ulofoshio, and offensive tackle Ryan Van Demark. *** Jonah Bronstein joined the WIVB squad in 2022 as a digital sports reporter.
