BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Mayfair Laboratory School has been named a 2024 National Blue Ribbon School. According to the East Baton Rouge Parish School System, Mayfair was awarded a National Blue Ribbon by the United States Department of Education. This award is a prestigious accomplishment and is the highest national honor a school can be given, according to a news release. The Blue Ribbon recognizes a school that is "dedicated to closing achievement gaps, displaying exceptional leadership and celebrating academic excellence." “Mayfair Laboratory School owes its success to the strong commitment of the entire Mayfair Lab family which includes faculty, students, parents and community partners," said Mayfair Lab School Principal Kyle Fontenette. "Mayfair Lab’s strong academic achievements are a result of our dedicated teachers, rigorous curriculum and dual teacher model.
