WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- Police said two people were taken to the hospital after they were shot in Southeast D.C. early Monday morning. According to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), the call came in around 1:18 a.m. for a shooting in the 2000 block of Savannah Terrace. MCPD: Man dies after police officer shoots him in Wheaton Once on the scene, officers found a man and a woman suffering from gunshot wounds. DC Fire and EMS took both victims to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries. MPD said there was no indication that the suspect and victims knew each other.
