ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Gamers are being invited to RIT's eighth annual ROC Game Fest! Over 45 game developers and exhibitors will be at RIT's MAGIC Spell Studios to showcase test games, give speeches, and even put on a cosplay contest for kids! Not only will local gamers be able to check out gear from MAGIC's latest release "That Damn Goat," high school students who participated in MAGIC's summer game developers camp will showcase the games they created "From students to professionals to local and regional community members and game enthusiasts, there is truly something for everyone to enjoy," MAGIC's Director of Games Industry Relations Jennifer Hinton said in a statement. "And, we are grateful for the opportunity to tout the one-of-a-kind programs and creative students at RIT that make our university a leader in the game design and development industry.” The keynote speaker at the festival is Andrew Borman, the director of Digital Preservation at the Strong National Museum of Play. The festival will kick off after his presentation from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, September 28.
