FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A woman was hit by a car Monday morning, according to the Fresno Police Department. Police say the woman was hit around 6:30 a.m. at Willow and Laurel avenues in southeast Fresno. Footage from the scene shows officers helping the woman who was hit into an ambulance, with a wheelchair in the roadway. The woman was taken away by ambulance and is described as being in critical condition. The wheelchair was left on the road after the ambulance left the scene. The driver of the car stayed on the scene and was talking to officers, according to police. The identities of those involved in the crash were not officially released.
