FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A Fresno County judge is facing sexual assault allegations following an incident earlier this year, according to the DA's office. Officials announced Monday that a grand jury indictment was unsealed against a retired Fresno County Superior Court Judge Adolfo Corona. The DA says the unsealing took place in Department 72 of the Fresno County Superior Court in front of the Honorable Joseph Kalashian (Ret.) of Tulare County. The felony indictment filed in Fresno County Superior Court alleges that on March 14, 2024, Adolfo Corona committed the following:  • One count of sexual penetration by force, fear, or duress  • One count of sexual battery If convicted of all charges, the DA says Corona faces a maximum of eight years in state prison and would be required to register as a sex offender.  Corona was notified of the charges and arraigned and entered a not-guilty plea. Corona's bail is set at $70,000. Corona has been ordered to post his bail by 5 pm on Monday - or turn himself into the Fresno County Jail.
