TOPEKA (KSNT) - Starting tonight, the Kansas Department of Transportation will be closing five I-70 ramps to do resurfacing work. The intermittent closures will begin at 6 p.m. on Sept. 23 and will last until 6 a.m. Sept. 24. Signage will be in place to help direct commuters. Waffles recalled in multiple states due to plastic contamination Closures for the westbound I-70 exit ramp to northbound U.S. 75 and the Gage Boulevard entrance ramp to westbound I-70 will last from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Monday. The Gage Blvd. entrance ramp: A detour will direct motorists to eastbound I-70, to MacVicar Avenue, to westbound I-70. The westbound I-70 exit ramp: A detour will direct motorists to Fairlawn Road, to eastbound I-70, to northbound U.S. 75. Closures for the southbound U.S. 75 exit ramp to westbound I-70, the westbound I-70 exit ramp to Fairlawn Road and the Fairlawn Road entrance ramp onto westbound I-70 will last from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. on Sept. 24. The southbound U.S. 75 exit ramp: A detour will direct motorists to eastbound I-70, to Gage Boulevard., to westbound I-70. The westbound I-70 exit ramp: A detour will direct motorists to Wanamaker Road, to eastbound I-70, to Fairlawn Road. The Fairlawn Road entrance ramp: A detour will direct motorists to eastbound I-70, to Gage Boulevard, to westbound I-70. For more local news, click here.
