SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Three teenagers were arrested in connection with robbing two people at gunpoint on Armory Street in Springfield.
Suspects arrested in connection with 14 armed robberies in Springfield
According to the Springfield Police Department, at around 11:40 p.m. on Saturday officers were called to the area of Armory Street and Warwick Street from a report of an armed robbery. The two victims described three suspects to the police.
The officers located the three suspects on Albany Street and were able to detain two of them however, one ran away. The suspect allegedly threw a firearm onto a roof at the 200 block of Albany Street and got away from police in a wooded area.
Officers arrested 18-year-old Ahman Patterson of Springfield and 18-year-old Angelina Matos of Chicopee after they were positively identified for their alleged involvement in the robbery.
The firearm was recovered from the roof with the assistance of the firefighters. The gun was loaded and capable of holding 32 rounds of ammunition.

The following night, officers set up surveillance on the 1100 block of St. James Avenue in an attempt to locate the third suspect. At around 9 p.m., the suspect was observed getting into a vehicle. Officers conducted a traffic stop and arrested 18-year-old Keylon Davy-Cook of Springfield in connection with the robbery and gun charges. The driver was cited for a defective license plate light.
