Savannah man convicted of cruelty to children, assault

CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) - The Chatham County District Attorney’s Office (DAO) has announced the conviction of 48-year-old Romandus Glover, a resident of Savannah.
According to the DAO, on September 17, Glover was found guilty of Aggravated Assault, Simple Battery, and Cruelty to Children in the 3rd Degree following a multi-day jury trial.
The incident occurred on May 9, 2020, on Kenmore Drive in Savannah, where Glover assaulted a female victim and strangled her with his hands in the presence of her child, according to the DAO.

The case was thoroughly investigated by the Savannah Police Department, whose work provided key evidence that led to Glover’s conviction.
Glover now faces up to 21 years in prison. Sentencing will be scheduled at a later date.
