The third annual ‘437 Project’ came through Pierre on Friday afternoon as part of the relay where a group of runners combined their efforts to cover the 437 mile stretch from the eastern side of the state to the line in the western side of SD. The 437 Project is a part of raising funds and awareness to help support the state’s Helpline Center, which supports services provided by both the 211 and the 988 helplines. Friends and family gathered at the 437 Project reception Friends and family gathered at the American legion cabin for a small ceremony to see Dan Santella finish his portion of the trek and pass it on to Jessica Rumpca (of Pierre). The group finished the 437-mile relay over the weekend with a ceremony in Sioux Falls that was very well attended!
