LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — A driver was hospitalized after an early morning crash on Russell Cave Road in Lexington. The incident occurred around 1 a.m. when the driver’s car struck a utility pole, causing the vehicle to flip and land on its top. Lexington police reported that the driver was taken to the hospital with injuries but is expected to recover. The accident led to a temporary closure of Russell Cave Road while emergency crews worked to clear the scene and repair the damaged utility pole. The road has since reopened, and traffic is flowing normally. Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash and have not released further details at this time.
