BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — You’re seeing more of Ja’Marcus Ingram on and off the field this season. “I would say my role is continuously growing, you know, out in the community as well as with the team,” Ingram said. Even if you don’t always see it. “I do a lot in the community that I probably don’t broadcast, or nothing like that,” Ingram said. “So it’s continuously growing, you know, getting involved in more programs that give back. Things like Huddle for Hunger and also, you know, going to read to kids. Going out to schools.” Ingram is from Texas, but he got to know some of Western New York during his time playing for the UB Bulls. “This side of Buffalo is completely different from Amherst, you know, Tonawanda, and all those places up in that area,” Ingram said. “So if definitely helped me embrace Buffalo.” He’s also embraced the spirit of the team and his teammates, who make it a priority to be out in the community. “I love doing charity work with my teammates, and anyone else outside of my teammates that has anything going that I can be involved in,” Ingram said. “I love just showing up and, you know, helping them out as much as I can.” Ingram was out collecting food at this year’s Huddle for Hunger and realizes a chance to meet a Bills player can get people to support a local charity. “I feel like with the platform that we have as athletes, you know, just growing and being more involved in the community can give so many people smiles, and you know, it’ll just make their day,” Ingram said.
