Special Sports, a non-profit that provides adaptive recreation opportunities for individuals with disabilities, is preparing for its annual Halloween Party. The event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 24 at Lake Catholic High School, 6733 Reynolds Road in Mentor. The party will have food, games, hayrides, a photo booth, a balloon artist, and a trick-or-treating parade. Costumes are optional, according to a news release. This event allows individuals with disabilities and their families to connect, socialize, and enjoy some fall fun, the release stated. Around 70 families have already signed up, but there is room for more. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online through Eventbrite.
