PITTSFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) will be conducting daytime paving work on Route 9 (Merrill Road) this week. Pittsfield police warn residents of aggressive door-to-door sales tactics According to MassDOT, paving will be completed on Route 9 from East Street to Junction Road. The work will begin on Monday and will continue through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day. The work will mean some lane closures and lane shifts this week. Drivers traveling in that area should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution. All work is weather-dependent and could change without notice.
