Providence officials to announce arrest of 20 individuals involved in drugs sales at Kennedy Plaza

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Providence Mayor Brett Smiley and Police Chief Colonel Oscar Perez will announce the results of a month-long investigation into the organized possession and distribution of illegal narcotics at Kennedy Plaza.
According to a release from city officials, police went undercover in August.
PPD said they’ve obtained 22 arrest warrants related to narcotics, with 20 people already arrested.
Smiley and Perez will discuss the investigation at the public safety complex at 9:30 a.m. today.
