Temperatures tumble with more rain on the way

The arrival of fall is bringing much cooler air to the region today with high temperatures in the 70s instead of the 80s. Showers and storms are likely tonight and some places could experience over an inch of rain.

This morning you won't see much change as temperatures will only rise into the upper 60s by lunchtime.
Fall temperatures today as highs will be in the 70s
Cool air will continue to stream in from the north today and high temperatures will only be in the lower 70s by late afternoon.
Clouds will increase overnight with showers and some thunderstorms developing after midnight. Some of these storms could produce heavy rainfall.
Thunderstorms will be likely Tuesday morning and showers are possible through the afternoon and early evening.
It will remain cloudy Wednesday with temperatures in the middle 70s.
Temperatures warm into the upper 70s Thursday with more showers as another weather system moves in Friday and Saturday.
The 10-day forecast has an even bigger temperature drop by the middle of next week when highs may only be in the 60s!
